The Giver was a great book that makes you keep reading. You can’t read just one chapter at a time. The writing style and the cliffhangers encourage you to read all the way to the end and into the sequels.

The only thing that could make The Giver a better book would be nothing. There is almost no way to make this novel any better. Everything is perfectly described and masterfully written. The characters in the book have different personalities which makes their relationship easy to understand, where other books have people that are the exact same becoming friends and the story has no meaning.

The Giver is a pretty good book. If only the ending was described more clearly. The only part of the book that was too confusing to understand was the ending, where Gabriel and Jonas make it to Elsewhere.
